I'm not down with Kidspiration…

If you hadn’t noticed, Kidspiration kind of stunk when it came to designing your habitat.  Sure, it had some easy to use images of animals, buildings, and nature to drag and use, but the results looked liked a drawing from a 2nd grader (no offense to 2nd graders.)  As teen tech experts, we deserve better.  We should be able to draw buildings in 3D, download realistic models of people, wind turbines, and cars.

Now we can.  Introducing Google SketchUp.  It’s a free program that lets you draw and build models in 3-D.

1. Watch this quick video of someone using Google Sketch-Up by clicking below

2.  Now, check to see if Google SketchUp is installed in your Mac.  Click on Spotlight and write SketchUp.  Like this:

3.  Now, click below to watch some beginner tutorials on how to use Google SketchUp.
