2. Click HERE to read some spoken word poetry.

3. Pick one that you find powerful.  Practice reading the poem in a way that brings out its power. Now, record yourself in IMovie reading it.  Put the video on your blog (make sure to give credit to the author).  Click HERE for an example.

** BONUS **

4. Inspired?  Write your own poem and record yourself saying it in IMovie.  Publish the video on your blog.

    Wow. That really IS powerful! I love the fact that they had Josh do this poem in front of his family. Doing it in front of them adds so much depth and meaning to the poem. So many times we see spoken word done on a stage in front of an audience and even though this poem would fly either way, seeing Josh’s vulnerability as he recited it in front of his dad made me feel it so much more. It really demonstrates how powerful language and expression can be. Tight!
